Description

Hephaestus, in Greek mythology, is the god of fire and metallurgy, as well as the patron of blacksmiths, artisans, and sculptors. He is the son of Zeus and Hera, and was born with a deformity in his legs, which led his mother to reject him and his father to throw him from the top of Olympus.

He fell into the sea and was rescued by the Cyclopes, who taught him how to work with metals. From that moment on, Hephaestus became a master of the forge, creating powerful weapons for gods and heroes. He is also known for crafting incredible mechanical wonders, such as Helios' golden chariot and the golden maidens that worked in his palace on Olympus.

He is often depicted working in his forge, hammering glowing metal with his hammer. Despite his lameness, Hephaestus is respected by all gods for his skill and intelligence.
