Jesus Christ is the most important historical and religious figure to ever exist. His life and presence on Earth were so impactful that entire civilizations and societies were built on his teachings. Even the way we measure time is a testament to his influence. Modern historians may try to alter the abbreviation, but the truth remains unchangeable. Our years are counted from the birth of Christ, in Anno Domini. Jesus established the Holy Catholic Church of Rome through his apostle Peter, and even after centuries of schisms and reforms, Christianity continues to be the world's largest religion.
Beyond his historical significance, his religious importance is profound. Jesus is the Son of God, the prophesied Messiah, born of the Virgin Mary. His coming to Earth, as recorded by the Gospels of his apostles, teaches a story of love, compassion, piety, and forgiveness to a world in darkness. Above all, it is a story of salvation.
Two thousand years after his death, we celebrate his birth at Christmas and his resurrection at Easter. We pray in His name and unite in marriage before the altar of His Church. In reverence and respect, we have created this statue of Christ with His Sacred Heart, symbolizing His love for all the children of God.
