Description

Carl Jung was a Swiss psychiatrist and psychologist who lived in the 20th century and developed significant theories about human psychology. Born in 1875, he studied medicine at the University of Basel and soon became interested in psychology and philosophy. He is known as one of the founders of analytical psychology, an approach that emphasizes the importance of the unconscious and archetypes in shaping human personality.

One of Jung's main contributions to psychology was the concept of the "collective unconscious," which refers to a set of ideas and images shared by all cultures that unconsciously influence human behavior. He also developed the theory of "psychological types," which describes different personalities based on four primary psychological functions: thinking, feeling, sensation, and intuition.

Jung is also known for his work with the famous psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, with whom he had a tumultuous relationship. Despite this, his theories and ideas have profoundly influenced psychology and popular culture. Our statue is a tribute to this significant figure and a reminder of his contributions to psychology and the understanding of the human mind.
