The bald eagle, also known as Haliaeetus leucocephalus, is a symbol of freedom and strength in America. It is the national bird of the United States and is found throughout North America, including Alaska and Canada. The species is recognized for its distinctive white feathers on its head and tail, as well as its powerful hooked beak and talons. They are opportunistic hunters, feeding on a variety of prey, including fish, waterfowl, and small mammals.
Bald eagles were once on the brink of extinction due to hunting, habitat loss, and pesticide use. However, thanks to conservation efforts, their population has recovered, and they were removed from the federal list of threatened and endangered species in 2007. Today, they can be found in many parts of the country, particularly near waterways and coastal areas.
Our statue is a perfect representation of freedom, strength, and power. It symbolizes the spirit of America.
